anyone else?

Sometimes look at their guest list and see dollar amounts?Wondering  if it's only me :)  I swear they were all names a few months ago.

haha I've only been engaged for 2 months and have recently started looking at reception sites, that did it for me.  You can only afford the places that allow you to invite at least your A List.  I think it's only natural, I wouldn't worry about it.  When is your wedding?  Hopefully the thought will go away by then and you will be able to enjoy yourself :) Happy Planning!

Carm, it only gets worse... wait until some of those f*ckers don't show.  Then you'll be seeing dollar amounts :PPPI'm still bitter about the peeps that no-showed at mine, one of which was my trailor trash cousin and his gf who I struggled to put at one of the main family tables and rearranged my whole seating chart for.  I actually had like 10 no-shows, can you believe that?

OH and Jewels, one of my no-shows was co-workers with whom I share an OFFICE with and that beotch still has not recognized that she never showed. After the honeymoon I returned and asked how the wedding went; no, I'm sorry, no anything, freakin unbelievable.

I am definitely seeing the dollar signs now, especially after the no shows and the cancellations the day of/before my shower. My mom put together a really nice day for me and I was bummed that folks didn't have the courtesy to show since she paid per person. But what are you going to do? My FI and I have already talked about it and are prepared for at least 10 no-shows. Since we aren't having a sit-down dinner we can plan appropriately.

Shockingly, we didn't have any no shows but of course some people didn't give gifts. It wasn't a huge deal because we invited them because we wanted them there or our family wanted them there; not for a gift. However, as a person who is always generous to others, it still sucks a little. But we had so many other generous people who made up for it so it was all good. And to see everyone have a great time enjoying our wedding made it worth it too.
