Re: Having the hardest time

  • what are your colors? and where are you having it? you dont necessarily need a theme
  • My theme was "wedding."  It worked great.

  • You don't need a theme.  I suggest you think about what feel you want your wedding to have, and then when you're looking at venues, flowers, etc., you can think about if it fits with the feel you are going for.  We wanted our wedding to be rustic/elegant, and having that in our minds helped us pick out different things for the wedding, but we didn't feel tied to a theme, necessarily.  Good luck!
  • We didn't want a "theme" either. I wanted tons of hot pink my favorite color and black FI's favorite and I wanted to incorporate our loves into our wedding, my love of flowers and sparkles, and his love of cars. Well, now, 10 days out, we are having people ask us how we came up with a "beauty and the beast" theme. We were shocked anyone thought that of our things! But I guess we have a theme now, but I still stand firm saying its not a theme, its what we love, besides each other of course!
  • I downloaded a color app for my phone to try to see colors i liked together. Ended up using a tropical theme and do bright colors purple and green. I have tons of palm tree decor etc already so we just put an elegant twist on it with palm leaves, green orchids and silver accented seashells. Think of colors you like or let your venue guide in a look or feeling you want to portray. GL  Or go on etsy or pinterest and see what things you like. Start putting them in a folder and see if you start to see what you gravitate towards.
