Centerpiece Fabric Size?

Hi! I am wanting to make a square of fabric that will lay over the table cloth (I cannot for the life of me think of what it would be called!). We will have 72" round tables. What size square should I put that would look good on them? Thanks!

I had the same size tables as you, and I did 18" squares. It was just enough pop on the table, but didn't cover the whole things so you still saw the table linen color. You can get the general idea of mine from the pic below.

So now I've talked our venue and we're going to have to also use 60" tables. What size would you recommend for that? Thanks!
