If you're hiring a DJ you don't need an MC. And I'm sorry but I don't see the connection between the wording on the front and inside of the card. It makes no sense at all to me.  Maybe I just don't get it...

  • I'm all sorts of confused?  Maybe it's because I'm tired.  Anyhoo's, I would never want a friend to ask me to work at her wedding.
  • first some ppl dont always have djs , it is a cute idea, and the first part is a one liner joke, also my wedding is a fun outgoing crazy unique crowd so this works, also my dj is not going tobe there until speeches so ill need a MC and asking a friend to be a special part of your day is a honour.
    guess im old fashion :)

Sorry but you're not asking your friend to be part of your wedding.  You're asking them to work.  That's not an honor or honour as you say.  Also it has nothing to do with being old fashioned it's just proper etiquette to not make friends do jobs at weddings. FWIW I still don't get the card.  If it's a one liner as you say them why does it take up 5?

  • I can see this going either way.  Hopefully you've mentioned this in person to your friend already, so the card won't come as a complete surprise.  If your friend is ok with it then I don't see a problem, I just don't think asking in a card out of the blue would be the right way.  It's not really that much different than people who ask their friends to officiate their wedding.
