Laurita Winery & alcohol

Hi everyone! Seems like every reception venue I like does not offer alcohol and the client has to supply their own. One of my favorites...Laurita Winery. Have any of you brides gotten married here and brought in their own liquor? If so, from whom and about how much does it cost?

  • Is that in New Jersey?  You might try your local board (to the left).

The vineyard we used din't supply alcohol either (except wine, of course!).  Supplying your own booze is actually MUCH cheaper!!!   Just go to the liquor store and get what you need.  Some liquor stores will even let you return un-opened bottles.  You can also get cases of bottled beer at Sam's Club or Costco (aagin, you may be able to return un-opened cases).

  • I got married in NJ, but not your location.  We provided our own liquor.  It's so much cheaper.     And as a bonus our liquor store allowed us to return any un-opened bottles.

Ours cost about $1800-2000 for 145 moderate to heavy drinking people.  That comes to about $14 a person.     Ours was top shelf with a lot of options and we supplied 2 bars.  We could have spent a lot less if we didn't have as many and less expensive options.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
