Details:
- Budget Wedding in San Diego, CA, June 2012
- Weather: usually about 70 - 80 degrees, sometimes overcast in June
- Guest Count: 60 (family and closest friends)
- Outdoor Wedding in a beautiful, historic park (Balboa Park)
- Reception to follow in a historic restaurant (The Coronado Boathouse of 1887)
We are struggling with this decision, so looking for input:
Should we have a daytime wedding and afternoon reception???
- Wedding from 11:00 - 11:30/12:00, then pictures, then reception from about 1:00 - 4:30 p.m.
- Reception facility will allow total restaurant buy-out for a reasonable 'minimum' with DJ and dancefloor and dancing if desired...
or
Should we opt for an evening wedding with a sit-down dinner-style reception following (no dancing)???
- Wedding from 4:30 - 5:00/5:30, then pictures, and reception from 6:30 - 9:30/10:30 p.m.
- Reception facility will not allow DJ/Dancing as it is a restaurant and other patrons would be disturbed & we can't afford to buy the whole place out at the evening rate...
Any and all input is deeply appreciated!
