m-ho

don't know if you're around lately, but were you the one who used different entrance songs for each couple in your BP?  if so, how did that work out?

:butting in:This was done recently at a wedding I went to, and I thought it was really really cute!! They used a band, but I'm sure the DJ could figure out the right part of the song to play, you'd just have to make sure you coordinate it with him... and expect him to mess up at least once.:butting out:

I'm here! Actually - I decided to nix it because I got lazy toward the end and said 'whatever'. The DJ would have done it, but he said (as some others have said) that there would be a higher possibility of technical problems and people coming in to the wrong songs, etc. Plus, since I'm asian and half the bridal party was - we had a huge deal with names so I said forget the songs. There's the long answer to your short question!

any answer is appreciated!  FI is being a giant PITA.  He's the one that wants it and he is so insistent.  You were the only one I remember talking about it so I was hoping you'd say it was great! lol

Have you talked to your DJ about it? If he's done it before and is confident says it will be great - it could turn out great. If the DJ hesitates about it, I'd be more apt to go the safe route and not do it.

:::butting in::: We did this for my bat mitzvah during the entrances of my family waaaay back in the day.  It wasn't a problem at all for the DJ and everything went smoothly. We will mostly likely not be doing this because I am too lazy to try and think of good songs for everyone, but I have seen it done and I liked it.  Especially if the songs are funny and really relate well to the people!
