XP: Color Theme Help

Hello ladies!!

I'm new to this forum. FI and I recently got engaged and are starting to plan our September 2012 wedding!!

Ok, so I was pretty much set on having dark teal as the main color in my wedding, and orange as an accent color... something like this:

But now I'm second-guessing myself and want to look for other alternatives to consider.... so I'd like to ask you guys what you think of that color theme (dark teal + orange) for a September wedding.... and also if you could give me any suggestions of other possible combinations.... dark teal would go with what other colors? and orange with what?

I actually like those colors together in the link you provided.

Dark teal would go with silver, any shade of grey, lavender.
The orange is a bit harder, but you could use brown, tan, a crimson red.

My recommendation is to go to the home improvement store (Lowe's or Home depot) and get a bunch of the paint cardboards and find the colors you like by matching them. Take them home. Play with them to reach a concensus.

The other thing to consider (although most brides tell you it doesn't matter) is what colors you have in your venue. Since you have not decided, perhaps you can choose one of the colors in the room, chairs, or carpet to assist you with all your color options.

Yes we should! Especially since I keep hearing we might have trouble finding things in teal!

Since the teal is darker and the yeloow has a little bit of orange in it, I think those make great September Colors. They're definately unique and beautiful!
