I have this idea about doing a "masquerade" reception in place of sticking to a strict color cordination. My fiance and I both love halloween and we moved our wedding date to October so we can spend a week on our own and a week celebrating with our friends like we do every year with all of the haunted mazes and places to go in our area. The masks are not meant to be worn but they are wearable. I thought they would be fun and bring others in to have fun with something we love but whenever I suggest the idea of having it the way I picture it I get odd looks from my family and friends. I am not sure if it is too far out there or if maybe they just can't see the big picture. The masks are going to be originally set out in place of name cards and will serve as the suvenier for any one not into the photo booth which I also thought would be fun to have the masks for. They would be wearable but definitly not a requirment for the guests to use. Any thoughts?
