Candles at a day wedding???

I am a DIY bride and I am having trouble with the centerpieces. I would like flowers but they are becoming too expensive so I was thinking about candles. The only problem with that is I am getting married at 3pm outside. I'm not sure if you will be able to enjoy the candles or see them since it will be daylight. I need some advice please help!

Re: Candles at a day wedding???

  • Take a look at www.centerpieceinabox.com/">www.centerpieceinabox.com I know someone in FL that used them to order one of the set table centerpieces, I think she paid about $35 per table centerpiece, but you can order just what you need for a lot cheaper if you only need one thing.  They also rent most stuff which cuts the cost.  I totally disagree with the other poster; candles will not be lost on a day wedding, especially if you add in glass, metal, water and mirrors.  I’ve seen a candle based table centerpiece that was made of copper and looked amazing when it glowed in daytime candlelight.
  • I decided not to do the candles. I am getting married and having the reception outside and I just didn't think you would be able to see them. I found this really great website www.projectwedding.com and I am going with fake flowers in drinking glasses. Which btw the drinking glasses are already ours and with being on a budget and having 10 tables to do centerpieces for really cut the cost. This website filled the containers with jelly beans, pinto bean or coffee. Also you can do gumballs or lemonheads. The possibilities are endless. I thought it was a great idea. I really appriciate all the comments from you all. If I have anymore questions I will be sure to post :) Happy wedding day!!!
