blended drinks

We have to provide our own drinks at my reception site.  Since Pina Coladas are my favorite, we will be serving them.  The problem is that our bartender said that we will need to rent a machine to make them.  I have no clue where to find this or how much it would cost.  I checked a local rental place and they didn't have it.  Has anyone had this issue?  I thought that we could just take a bunch of blenders, or blend them up ahead of time, am I wrong?

I rented a margartia machine once for a party, I am guessing you could do that with pina coladas instead.  I would assume that a blender would be far to loud and distracting for a wedding.  Check with a bartending company, that is where I got mine.

If the margarita machines were really that loud, there would be tons of people saying something about it and telling everyone not to use them for any occasion, which you never hear so it seems to be a complete non-issue.Your bartender should be the one taking care of all of this.

I appreciate that Lasairiona, but unfortunately the wedding isn't in St. Louis.  Its in Pennsylvania.  I will try to google it and see what I can find.

Check with party rental companies.  I'm sure someone will know where you can rent it.  

Definitely do a margarita machine over blenders.  Blenders are noisy and will only make 1-2 drinks at a time.  It's a huge pain to be a bartender and blending all the time, and it makes the service slow.  If they have a margarita machine, the pinas will be ready and waiting to dispense.

The second link posted says they have locations in PA you can rent from. Most of them say that they can serve 50 people (1 serving) from a single batch in the margarita machines.
