FI and I really want to provide some unique entertainment for our guests at cocktail hour, so here's our idea...
Hire a magician to act as "crazy uncle Henry" (you know, the wedding guest that all the other guests have no idea who he is). He would mingle with the guests at cocktail hour, fitting in as best he could, then slyly perform some of his magic. Eventually all the guests would figure it out and have a good laugh. We would hire him just during cocktail hour because it would be a bit much to have him around all night.
FI and I feel like it's a good way to break the ice between the families (whom have never met), entertain them during cocktail hour, and really make a lasting impression.
What do you guys think? If you were a guest, would you think it was funny and unique, or tacky and annoying?
