I'm finally getting started on changing my name. I have my certified marriage record with its pretty raised seal, and drove by what I thought was the SS office in West Chester today on my way home from doing that, just to see where it was. (The office was closed already, but it was on my way home.) Where the heck is this place? Either I'm totally dense or the office is completely unassuming, because I couldn't see it from the street at all. Am I crazy?

hey heather! it's on Route 3, right near the Applebee's shopping center (there is also a Shoprite and Panera Bread in this center). It's across the street from the Golf Club Apartments. Where do you teach?? I'm not sure this would be on your way home....it's very close to the center of West Chester.

I was already in West Chester after school today getting my certified marriage record from the Courthouse (just easier for me to go in person rather than wait for it to come in the mail). SS closed at 4, but i wound up taking Route 3 to get back onto 202. Becca actually helped me out - it's BEHIND the Applebees. Basically, my GPS told me that I was there when I got the Applebees and with no obvious office in site I was pretty confused as to how the servers there were supposed to help me change my name.

Haha, the SSA is down the street from my house and I missed it the first time! Go into the West Goshen shopping center and make a left at the stop sign. It's past the Qdoba. The building has big red letters that say Social Security Administration!
