My husband and I were originally planning to get married April 2012 however due to me needing to be put on his health insurance we ended up eloping. Our parents are now (it took a few months for the shock to wear off) very happy about what we did and have offered to throw us either a large local reception or a smaller local reception as well as a smaller reception in a different state where all of my relatives live. We have lived here for 17 yrs and hardly any of the relatives have ever come to visit though we have been out there roughly twice a year every year for the past 17 yrs. Almost all said they planned to attend the wedding next April. Do we have one large local reception and invite the relatives to come out or a smaller one at each so that I know for sure my family will be there? His family is all local.
