Bridal Party seating

At our venue they have a sweetheart table for the bride and groom.  I have a question on what to do with our wedding party though.  Obviously they will all be sitting with their SOs but is there any rules with regards to whether the bridal party should be sat together.  For instance, one bridesmaid is a dear friend from work. . . ordinarily I would sit her and her husband with other work friends.  Should I sit her with the other bridesmaids instead?

Re: Bridal Party seating

  • It's fine to seat the bridal party with people they know. They don't have to sit together. After dinner, everyone will be walking around, dancing, and mingling anyway.

  • We sat our bridal party members with people they knew.  For example, my sister/MOH sat with some mutual friends, DH's best man sat with work friends, a SIL bridesmaid sat with family.  I think it's better to sit all guests where you think they'll be the most comfortable.

That's what  I was leaning towards. . . but wanted to verify.  Thanks!

We also did this.  Our BP told us they appreciated it.
