Reception Colors

I'm wondering if decorating the reception in the same colors as my dress and bridal party's dresses would be too much. I didn't want to venture out into other colors since I figured it would throw everything off.

Re: Reception Colors

  • Well, most people do coordinate their reception decor to the colors they chose for the wedding via centerpiece flowers, sometimes linens, cake decor, etc. Our centerpieces had coral flowers, favors had a coral bow and label, table numbers were pinkish coral. You just don't want every little thing to be in your colors or that would be overkill.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

Great! I was thinking along the lines of the linens and cake only because I don't want to it be overkill as you mentioned. Thanks so much!
  • My color is like a fuchsia pink. My bridesmaids dresses are that color. My tableclothes are white, napkins sashes on chairs will be fuchsia. I'm paying extra for the dj to do uplighting in fuchsia. I'm doing a candy buffet in bright pink bright green my fiancee's favorite color
