Hi -
We want our colors to be yellow and gray. Yellow is one of my sorority colors and gray is one of his fraternity colors. Our flowers will mainly be sunflowers with some pink roses. Pink will be used minimally as an accent color.
The only problem is, we can't decide on a "theme" to go with besides just making everything yellow and gray. I've always wanted a more formal / traditional wedding, but I don't know how to create that on our budget.
We're Catholic, so the actual wedding is definitely going to be formal and traditional.
But, the majority of our guests are going to be college students / recent grads. So a formal / traditional reception just doesn't seem to mesh.
How can we blend the reception and the wedding to flow cohesively?
We want the reception to be fun, but still classy.
The other thing is - every idea we have come across for a yellow/gray wedding seems to be too "country" or too "laid back" for us. How can we make our color scheme formal but fun?
Any suggestions?
