Mixed centerpieces

I'm thinking about doing two different types of vases for our floral centerpieces. One will be cylinder- probably 6"x6". I'm debating between having the other as a square 6x6 or a 10 x 6 cylinder. Any thoughts on what would look better?

Re: Mixed centerpieces

  • You can do a mix of both.  I like when there is a bit of variety in the reception room.  We are doing 2 different types of centerpieces, they are both types of lanterns so they are similiar but not exactly the same.

  • Personally I would go with the taller cylinder as I think the mix of heights would add more variety, while the similar shape would still look coordinated.  We actually used 3 different vases for my daughter's wedding; a tall Eiffel tower, a globe that was about 10 inches high and a curvy vase that was about 12 inches high, but they all had similar fillings and flowers.
  • I agree with luckygirl - i like a little variation.  as long as they are similar
