alright i have a question for everyone. I am going to start off by first saying that THIS IS NOT A POTLUCK RECEPTION. okay now thats outa the way i have decided against catering. i hate catered food, so general and plain just not a fan. any who what i have asked is that myself, my sister,my aunts and my mom and my fiances mom are going to prepare some of the food ( we're having a barn reception and having porkchops (catered ) and the main entrees catered but as far as sides go my family and my FI mom make the sides. We (FI and I) are paying for the food to prepare it and as a thank you to the people that participated we are creating a cook book to share family recepies. Is this a bad idea. i don't consider it pot luck because everyone isn't bringing a dish and i'm not asking them to pay for it for those who have decided to participate. we are a laid back couple and our reception is going to be about family and good times. is this a bad idea??
