Wedding on birthday

Hello,

My wedding is scheduled on my FH's birthday.  He is going to be 32, so it's not really a milestone birthday, but I still wanted to do something for him on his birthday.

Working with my DJ, he suggested playing some birthday song and handing him a cupcake with a candle on it.

I'm just not sure if it's enough?  Does anyone have any other ideas of what I could do to surprise him on his birthday/wedding day?

Re: Wedding on birthday

  • I think "Happy Birthday" and a cupcake with a candle is more then enough.  You don't want your wedding turning into his birthday party.  Like you said, it isn't a milestone birthday but it is nice to recognize it in a small way.

If you want to do something just between you and him you can always send him a sweet birthday card prior to the ceremony.

  • Maybe you could do cake and singing at the rehearsal dinner instead of at the reception?

  • its' your wedding reception. the one song and cupcake is plenty.  dotn make it a birthday party.

  • When we were selecting the date for our wedding we had chosen 9/22 which is a day before my birthday our anniversary so the MC was just going to make a quick announcement and play my favorite song.... The church didn't have the 22nd available so we had to choose the 29th. :(
