What foods? Where from?

I am getting married in Hawaii without people there, just him and I, then we are coming back to Oregon for our reception. We are having about 100-200 people there and its at 2pm.  So I am not seving dinner or lunch. I know we still need something there but what do I do?  We live in a smaller town (13,000) and there is not a lot of options for who I can get to cater.  What are some good foods to have there? Cakes?  Anything will help people! We are on a budget too!!

  • Heavy hors d'oeuvres like stuffed mushroom caps, quesadillas, and maybe sliders would be good IMO.

  • Do you have a supermarket in town? I would go there and grab a catering menu and see what you can afford. A lot of supermarkets do things like sandwich/wrap platters, buffalo wings, fruit and vegetable platters, cheese and cracker platters, pasta dishes, etc.

What kinds of restaurants or cafes do you have nearby? See what their catering menus are like. Could you order pizzas?

If you have something like a Costco nearby, get some frozen appetizers and pay someone to heat them up and serve them.
