Pumpkins in September?

I want to have a fall themed wedding with the pretty fall colors and pumpkins. I'm looking at having the ceremony and reception at a pumpkin farm. I wanted to have my wedding in October, but because that is the farms busy season, they do not allow weddings the last two weeks of September through October. So,that leaves me with September 17th or 18th. Is this too soon to have a "fall" wedding with pumpkins?

They start harvesting pumpkins in Sept so you can use them if you want. You may have to purchase them from a local grower as opposed to the grocery though.

I just don't want it to seem strange that I have pumpkins in September. I can get the pumpkins from the farm.

My Sept 25th outdoor wedding will having nothing "fall" themed.  I'm using white roses in my bouquets, centerpieces and all decor. Do what YOU want, its your wedding.  I choose navy as my primary color and whites roses were my next choice for flowers.  Its what I like not what's expected.
