Ostrich Feather Centerpieces

What do you guys think of feathered centerpieces like these.  My theme is more of a 30's theme.  My dress is kind of pinup girl-esk.  I am wearing feathers in my hair, and my bridesmaids will be too.  Some people are saying they LOVE these centerpieces, and some say they are "tacky" and too "extravigant".  What is your opinion (I will be using black and white feathers too)

I totally love them and I LOVE LOVE LOVE your theme. Just dont go overboard and make it look crazy. Sometimes themese go a bit overboard but I think these are awesome and you should go for it. I would love to see a pic of your dress and hair inspiration. I love dated dresses.

I'm doing them and LOVE how they look.  Who cares what other people think, my mom and sis thought I was nuts for going with the feathers.  But its MY wedding   I think roses suck and other people think they are 'classic'.  Do whatever you want.  PS - I'm doing a tiny feather comb in my hair and some feathers in my bouquet and my girls bouquets.  GL

I totally agree that if you love it go for it-- who cares what everyone else thinks.  I was actually going to put ivory ostrich feathers in my pink rose bouquets.  You should however make sure that your 30's theme doesn't morph into a FEATHER theme-- which is what will happen if you overdo it.  30's is great, dustbusters not so great.  Maybe consider the floral arrangements in the attached photo if you get too many people giving you a hard time.  Just a thought...
