Another picnic reception: Suggestions for baskets/boxes?

We're planning a pretty laid back picnic reception at a vintage building in a local park.  It is absolutely the idea location for us.

I'd really like to find small boxes or baskets to give to each person with their silverware, napkins, condiment packages, cookies, and chips.  Then they'll be able to pick up a plate, burger or brat, and any salads off the buffet, and then grab a box/basket and head to find a seat.

Does anyone have any suggestions on affordable box or basket options?

Papermart.com is a great source for all kinds of packaging materials and ribbon, raffia, etc.  They offer great quality, prices and service.
  • Could you have those things on the tables instead?  I think it would be hard to carry a basket/box with all that stuff while trying to serve myself food.  Also, if you have them on the tables, you could have larger baskets of chips and cookies, and individual baskets for the silverware and napkins--it would just give you more flexibility.  You could even use the mason jars that PP posted, and then guests could use them for drinking.
  • If you want something relatively easy to carry, consider large-ish Chinese-take-out-style containers (the handle could easily be looped over the hand carrying the plate). They're usually available in plastic or paper in a variety of colors.

That said, though, I *love* the mason jars in PP, and the idea of putting them on the tables/having them double as glasses.
