Going in circles: Wedding Theme

Hello,
I got engaged in Barcelona, Spain this past August.  I am having my wedding this May at a venue on the NJ waterfront overlooking the NYC skyline.  I am having difficulty coming up with a theme for the wedding.  My bridesmaids are wearing a Sangria colored knee length purple dress with silver shoes.  I have Orchids and tea lights as centerpieces on the table.

Any suggestions?

If you want to give it a flair, what about a Spanish feel? You did get engaged in Spain! Sangria is very Spanish and orchid are very tropical. You could have Spanish food and wine...

It sounds like you have a theme already...you have your colors and orchids...sounds great to me!

Skyline theme-- it is perfect because it is just barely a theme at all, but can inspire cake, decor etc without being overtly 'themey'.

I was watching Four Weddings last night--the girl there had a Chicago skyline theme and she put it on her cake and on her table numbers.  It was kind of cute.  But I agree with everyone else, it sounds like you have a lovely start already and you can just add some personal touches here and there and you're set.

Thank you everyone for your suggestions.  I do have touches here and there to incorporate Barcelona.  My FI and I travel every year and have many adventures! I was thinking of having Sangria at the tables in addition to the open bar and I wanted to have churros and chocolate along with the cake for dessert.

Im having trouble deciding on doing little olive tapas dishes as the favor or airplane luggage tags that serve as place cards....

So many ideas!
