13 hour day

So I'm working a 13 hour day today, and getting paid for 7.  Sigh.  It's back to school night tonight and it makes 0 sense to go home in between ---lord, knows I won't want to come back-- AND I have to get to school early to prepare, get everything ready for the day, and start to plan with my intern for next weeks lessons. Someone tell me again how my job is so easy.  I may punch you in the face.

If it makes you feel any better, DH has been working 30 hour shifts every 4 days for the past month.  Before his paychecks are processed, he must sign sign a statement verifying that he has worked 80 hours or less each week (for labor law purposes).  It's more like 90+ hrs per week.  Based on these hours, he gets paid around minimum wage.

C - I hear you!  My head is spinning.  I don't know what it is about this year, but I feel like a crazy person.  I'm sure some of it has to do with technology failing me over and over and a major classroom flood on the second day of school.  I'm thinking October will bring the sanity back to my classroom - here's hoping anyway!

Ditto! I have 4 IEPs due in the next 2.5 weeks, 6 weeks of planning due Monday, plus I still need to organize the room and make a ton of resources. The bad part is a new room is it comes empty. Plus my staff are worthless.
