No Alcohol

How pissed do you all think my guests are going to be if my lunchtime reception is alcohol free? I personally see no need for drinking that early.

Re: No Alcohol

  • I am planning a smaller budget wedding where if I chose to have beer and wine, I then would have to carry a special insurance policy in case someone drinks, drives, and then has an accident.  I am having a "casual Tennessee barbeque" wedding and it will be at 4pm.  There will be small children at our wedding and reception.  We have opted to not have alcohol for a few reasons and budget was one of them.  We are paying for this and will provide plenty of tea, water, juice and soda as well as food (most likely a buffet)... We also have a cool DJ and have personally picked a lot of songs we know our guests will like to dance to.  I am one of the few people who doesn't need alcohol to have a good time.  My personal feeling is that if you need to be liquored up (in the afternoon) to have a good time..go to a bar..You want to celebrate my wedding and have a good time with me and my family, then come and celebrate.
