As I said on the Attire and Chit Chat boards, this kind of thing goes over very, very poorly.  Why?  Because you're spamming boards by posting this on multiple boards.  And that's against The Knot rules.

You're soliciting votes for a contest.  And that's against The Knot rules.

You're a brand new-bie, and your only reason in coming to the boards to to get something for nothing.  Why would people who are struggling to plan AND pay for their own weddings vote for you?

What generally happens here is that people will go to the website you posted and vote for anyone but you.  Because they really don't approve of people breaking the rules.  Like you just did.

Why the hell would anyone want to register for a site to vote for someone they don't know to have their "dream wedding?"  I paid for my own wedding; I didn't expect to win some stupid contest that expects me to prove how romantic and wonderful we are as a couple.

Seriously, go away and stop spamming the boards with this garbage.

Posting something like this one time on your local board may give you some chance of success. On a board like this, it just annoys people.

You know, I had my dream wedding and it was absolutely amazing. I can only wish you the same kind of happiness.
 
I suggest hard work and opening a savings account, just like DH and I did.
