FI and I have found a venue that we both really love in terms of location, surroundings, service, etc. The only problem was that when we went for a tasting, my parents were unimpressed by the quality of the food, and do not want us to have our wedding there--they are paying, so I have to listen to them on this. Otherwise this place is perfect. I know people always negotiate on price, but I was wondering if anyone has every negotiated on the QUALITY of the food at a venue, even by bringing up the price a bit, or not including some things during cocktail hour, etc. I really really want to have my wedding at this place, but don't want my parents and other guests to complain about the quality of the food.
If anyone has ever negotiated food quality, please give me some advice on how to approach this topic with the venue's manager.
