Help! Considering a Reception Venue that Only Allows Slow Dancing... Can we Make this Work?

Hi all,

My fiance and I are on a budget and found an incredibly reasonable reception venue (The Coronado Boathouse 1887) that is known for its incredible history and great food. Not to mention it is close to our wedding location and the island of Coronado is also an ideal location for our out of town guests to visit. It has some significance because I work there also.

Our guest count is about 60 or less. Our wedding party is limited to only our siblings. Did I already mention we are on a tight budget? =)  We had the hardest time finding a venue that was the right size/style/price...

We love The Coronado Boathouse... except that they only allow slow dancing because it is a restaurant and we are not buying out the entire place. We are worried that a 4 hour party (with a fully hosted bar and tray passed hors d'oeuvres along with a yummy plated dinner) will need some activities to liven it up and get everyone mingling & ensure a great time for our guests.

We are planning on having a live acoustic entertainer. We will do the traditional dances (mother son, father daughter, money dance) as well as some slow dances. We have a small enough group to open up the floor for as many speeches as people want. We will also have a photography area for guests to have pictures taken of them (with some props in our wedding theme: travel) for our guest book. We will be serving cupcakes and cutting a personal bride/groom cake.

But we want/need more ideas! Thank you for your interesting ideas fellow knotties!!!
