Uplighting and centerpiece flowers help!

My DJ is throwing in uplighting (pink/purple color) for our reception, which I LOVE but my florist is telling me that I should pick centerpieces that are mostly white because of the uplighting. I don't like pure white centerpieces/bouquets so I'd like to stay away from it but I don't know if different color flowers in the centerpiece would look weird with the uplighting. Does anyone have any advice?

  • I agree with your flourist. think it would just be too much. Maybe don't do all white but more white then color. That's what I would do.

  • I would stick to mostly white or mostly white and pink to go with the lights.

  • I've seen several pictures and have been to several weddings where they used uplighting and had colored flowers and it doesn't look bad at all.  I think you should get what you want and go with that.  If you are worried about it being too much, then do as PP said and go with pink/purple flowers.

  • I have uplighting and colored flowers on the tables with candles.
The candles brightened addd light to the individual tables, just enough to
make everything look very elegant and romantic.
