NC Maritime Museum Watercraft Center???

Has anyone been to or heard of a wedding reception at the NC Maritime Museum Watercraft Center in Beaufort, NC? Our wedding planner took us by there this weekend and it looks like it could be a really cool idea with the huge doors open to the water. I was wondering if anyone has used this location before and what they thought of it or if they have any pictures of it decorated for a wedding reception?

I know exactly where you are talking about.  I am getting married in Beaufort this July.  The watercraft center was one of my first choices, however, they only will allow like 4 weddings (if you are planning a Saturday wedding) there each year.  I think they do them in April, May and or October.  Depending on when you are getting married you will want to book it ASAP if that is where you want it.  I think it woud be beautiful!  The back doors open to the water.  i have seen weddings there before that were beautiful- it's hard to picture when it's not decorated.  The only other thing I would mention is if you plan on having alcohol, be sure to get the details...I can't remember but I think you have to hire an officer if there is alcohol.  Please let me know if you have ANY questions about Beaufort, i would be happy to help!
