Too much color? Advice please!!

My ceremony and reception are at the same place and the ceremony is pretty neautral, but the reception is a different story....

Our wedding colors are red and aqua.  We are doing blue up lights in the space, the walls are neutral tan and wood ceilings, lots of windows, too.  When I went to meet with my caterer about linenes my fiance couldn't be there with me, so for some reason I chose red as the table clothes and the aqua for the napkins.  Everywhere I look, I see the EXACT opposite, aqua table clothes, red napkins.

Basically, I was wondering if anyone thought this is too much red?  We are only having about 12 tables and the space can fit up to 20.  The table are split on to either side of the dance floor.  And I'm planning on having tall, white lanterns and small votives on the tables.

I'm kind of scared it will look like crap and that there is a reason I can't find anyone with bright red table clothes...

  • Google image search brought up these, I think it's fine as long as you minimize the red elsewhere

I think it is fine as you are having the uplighting blue...suggestion in your book (if you have one) take a pic of what you pick and a note of why you like it...when you start to doubt yourself (or anyone else offers their "humble" opinion) you can easily remind yourslef why you made that decision.  This method helps me quiet the noise in my head.
