Fall Flower Help!!

My wedding is October 2, 2010. I just started looking into booking a florist and am realizing how expensive flowers are. Does anyone have any suggestions for flowers that are in season in October and are inexpensive (but still pretty) alternatives?

That is what a florist is for as they have that information handy. It doesn't cost anything to go in and ask questions, which is what you are supposed to do before you book anyone.

What are your colors? Dahlias and Mums are both in season during the fall, and they are fuller flowers so you don't usually need as many for an arrangement.

I am getting married 10-10-10. I am having pink and brown as my main colors with accents of purple and orange. I found gerber daisies in pink, orange and purple. I am using dogwood for the middle section of floral arrangement for the brown. I am making silk flower arrangements as real ones are so expensive and always die. I want some thing that will go on forever just as my marriage will. hope that helps.
