Ceremony/Reception help!

Hi Ladies!  I really really hope ya'll can help me!

The place I have selected for my ceremony offers weddings at 3 pm (venue from 1-4:30) or 7pm (venue from 5-8:30). 

The reception place won't do a private event until 6pm.

I really don't like the 7pm time since it is so late!  I will also have a November wedding so it will be cold and dark.  The 3 pm time puts us done way too early for the 6 pm reception.

The reception venue is a 15 min walk or 3 min drive from the ceremony site.

Can ya'll pretty please help me come up with a solution?!

I don't think I will need too much time to get dressed, as we will have a hotel directly across from the ceremony venue.  The ceremony venue has very strict flower rules, so there won’t be too much “setting up” to do.

I'm not sure I understand.  If you have the ceremony venue from 5:00-8:30, why can't you have the ceremony at 5:30?

They were very hesitant to let us change the time within the rental time.  They are a bit picky.

I guess my question would be - would I have enough time to get ready and take a few pictures with a 5:30 or 6 pm wedding in the 7pm time slot?!
