DIY Candy Buffet and Table Linens

Hi Ladies!!

I am trying to pull together a candy buffet table for my favors and reception. Anyone have any good ideas or websites for the vases or candy jars?? Definitely looking to do this wedding as inexpensively as I can. But still keeping it classy and beautiful.

Also I would much rather purchase table linens since renting can get pricey. Does anyone know of good websites to purchase table linens??

Thanks for all your help and good luck on your own weddings!!!!

Re: DIY Candy Buffet and Table Linens

  • I'm doing a candy buffet too and I've found that efavors.com is a really useful to start thinking about what to put the candy in.  And fabicdirect.com is a good place to get a lot of fabric for cheap.
  • you might want to get apothecary jars of different sizes and shapes, your local bulk barn might have it, even walmart, target have them as well.
  • We are also doing a candy table. Well actually instead of having a cake we are having a sweets table. Choco fountains and all kinds of fruit, candy, and pasteries for dipping. I found different kinds of mason jars at walmart; all sizes to put stuff in. It looks really cute. We decorated the jars with our colored ribbons. Best of luck
  • If you need really cheap vases -> goodwill/salvation army and ross. You can find some suprisingly nice stuff there. If you're okay with each candy having a different shape vase (which I think looks cool but I can understand why you wouldn't)
  • We did a candy buffet and I got all of our jars for the candy at TJ Maxx.  Below is a pic of mine.

  • saveoncrafts.com is my favorite website for wedding stuff!! I found my vases (that were $9.99 each at Michaels) for $2.99 each...and they have preserved roses in every color for cheaper than silk roses!
  • I have bought all my candy jars from TJ Maxx/HomeGoods and Marshalls for between $7-$10.  I don't know if you have a Christmas Tree Shoppe in your area, but I've also seen them there.
The linens I can't help you with, because my venue comes with them.  Do you have anyone crafty in your family that could make them? My MIL is making my overlays because I didn't like the ones my venue has.
