My fiance and I are trying to plan a very low cost reception. We know the best way to do this is to invite fewer people, but the problem is we both have large families and we really feel it's important to include these people who are so important to us; the lowest we can get our guest list is 125.
So we're looking for other suggestions to cut costs...we don't want a fancy, formal reception. Just a nice place where we can celebrate w/ our loved ones. Our wedding is in April or May 2012--we'll set the exact date once we decide on a reception venue..
Any ideas on how to have an indoor reception for 125 people that costs under $3,000? (we're not serving any alcohol, which does help) We're getting married in Elizabeth, NJ.
