Unique Favors

Hi all, I wanted to share an idea for unique favors and what you think your reaction as a guest would be. I am a printmaker and I specialize in woodcuts depicting scenes of nature. I'm not into the whole bubbles or candy idea, and I need something that could be taken on a plane, so I was thinking about making a 4 x 6 fine art print (depicting either an animal/plant or both). My friends and family have always loved owning a piece of my art and I thought this might be a good way to personalize my wedding and it would also be incredibly cost effective. Other info: About 50-60 guests (one per single guest and one per couple). Would be displayed in a clear plastic sleeve. 

So, what would you think as a guest? I've never seen this type of thing before at a wedding or heard of anyone doing it.

I think it would be cool, because it's made by you and the people there will enjoy that because it is more personalized. Usually I don't like the personalized things, I like the food favors, but since that would be a picture made by someone I knew, I would enjoy it!

I kinda like this idea.  Would it be possible to do a few different images?  The picture of the tigers you gave as an example is really not my thing.  I'd like that it came from the bride, but it still wouldn't be displayed in my house.  People have a lot of opinions on art so a few options might be good for pleasing everyone. 

I'd also recommend displaying them on a table and inviting people to take one of their choosing rather than putting one at each place setting or arbitrarily deciding which one each person gets.  Again, people will want one that matches their tastes.

Yes, I was thinking something along those lines as well, to have a few different images and guests could choose. The images would probably less taste-specific too, like maybe one of our city's flower, the lilac, which is a very big deal in our city. Thank you for your input

I think that's a great, personal favor for your guests as long as the subject matter is more generic.
