Original Ideas

Me and my Fiance are getting married November 13, 2010. In Ft Worth, Tx. For a run down we have a budget of about 50k, and about 250-300 guest so we are trying to get everything we want packed in on that budget with that many people. We are both pretty creative and have come up with a few original ideas but still want some things unique or different added to our reception. So if anytbody has any good ideas, anything from decor to...well anything at all! Let me know! Thanks!

Well, nothing is really original, if it was you would think it up yourself you know? 

Photo booths at receptions are really popular and still pretty new so not seen at a lot of weddings.

Candy buffets are huge and popular with guests.

I think the best personal touches are those that are just that, personal. If you can play off the character of the location, your relationship, funny way you met, places you have been together, etc you will have unique aspects incorporated into the big day.

The majority of the ideas that you find online in the wedding blogs will be totally new to your guests as most people "in the real world" don't keep up with the wedding blogs, etc to have any clue what is trendy, etc. So you could add any of those ideas and your guests will think it was completely original.

At the same time, don't do something that doesn't fit your personalities at all that will make your guests uncomfortable.

Just like the previous young lady stated, they're few "original" ideas out there. However, my fiance has a friend who loves to rap and write poetry. So we have asked him to prepare something, just for us, to recite at the reception.
