Apples/Nonfloral Centerpieces?

Just wondering if anyone had any pictures or ideas that use apples or anything other than flowers as centerpieces or decor.

howabout these? though most show using green apples - one can always go for the alternative and use reds, yellows or a mix of color!

Thanks so much for all of the ideas! 

We are using navy blue and green (think granny smith apple green)--which is where the idea for apples came in.  In the interest of sticking to our budget, we are looking for some nonfloral options!  I'll have to investigate bamboo...so interesting!
