We flew to Vegas March 26, 2011 with 19 of our closest friends and family. It was amazing. We figured we would have a reception at home when we returned. Both of our schedules were so hectic and my husband is not one to want a huge party or attention on him. We talked and decided to wait for our one year for the reception. Now I can tell he really isn't wanting to have one at all. I know he will go through with the reception because he knows that's what I want. However, I wont enjoy myself if he doesn't. Not to mention IDK how long is too long to have a reception or any of the etiquette for having a reception in my hometown after a destination wedding. I don't want to spend all of the money on a reception if he isn't going to be happy. Not to mention I recently lost my job so money is tight. We could afford the reception but I'm not sure we should spend the money. I know he would rather go on a scuba trip that is around the same time as our 1 yr. Any suggestions? I don't want to look back later on and feel like I missed out on something and I know he doesn't want that.
