Need help with this floral centerpiece!

Hi everybody, I have a question about a reception centerpiece I saw recently. I found it at this link:http://s3.amazonaws.com/wedding_prod/photos/776c759caf64182b3b62da3de7c6af12  Does anyone here know from which vendor I can get this centerpiece? Or how this centerpiece was made? I am really in LOVE with this centerpiece, and I have been unable to find a vendor that can make this. Any help will be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks everyone!~Cindy

  • Any florist can recreate that for you. Be prepared to spend money on them for each one. You can get recommendations on your local board (link on the left of the screen).
  • ThaT really is beautiful. You might try the DIY board as well, there's some really handy ladies there. If the cost of buying it is prohibitive, you might be able to do it yourself (although it looks like it would take a lot of time)

    Good luck.
  • I definitely think a florist can do that for you. I don't think it will be that expensive either. There aren't a lot of flowers involved, they are just large. Good luck!

  • That looks really similar to my centerpiece inspiration! I know nothing about flowers, but the florist I met with says it's mostly orchids... which are pretty pricey.
  • I had similar centerpieces, and the flowers were orchids.  Any good florist should be able to recreate this.  Beautiful!  But I'm biased ;)

That looks similar to the centerpieces I had at my first wedding. The pic is a little blurry, but I'm assuming they're dendrobium orchids -- and a lot of them! For a frame of reference, mine (most dendrobium orchids with some calla lilies) were $150 a centerpiece... in 2001. They won't be cheap, but they are beautiful.

ETA: That was in Philly, typically more expensive than a lot of other locales, but still quite a bit cheaper than NY.
