Just curious what other peoples first dance with thier new husband is going to be? Looking for some inspiration...

We decided to go with a simple "cake and punch" reception so we're not having dancing but our first dance song was going to be "Your Guardian Angel" by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus.  We also considered "Stolen" by Dashboard Confessional

I think that depends on you as a couple and the style of music you are in to.  Most of my recommendations would be country, and IDK if you like that style of music.

ETA- you have over a year until then.  Take some time to listen to the lyrics of songs that catch your attention.  Something you like now may be so played out by then you may hate it.  Or something new may come out that you absolutely love.  I don't think this is a serious issue to be fretting over at this time.

We have it narrowed down to two.  Either "You are the Best Thing" by Ray LaMontagne (he's my fiance's favorite singer so this one is very meaningful to us) or "Unbelievable" by Josh Gracin, which when I first heard a couple years ago, I knew right away I wanted it as a first dance song.  I'm not sure how we're going to choose...but we plan to play both at some point during our reception!
