color scheme help- reception hall is on the water and very blue

OUr reception is on the harbor and the hall has dark blue carpet and dark blue chairs. we are looking for a beachy theme and dont know if adding more blue and green woudl be over kill.. Guys are wearying a Trinadad green color. girls???? maybe navy? would like to have the green/blue hydrangas

Yes, I was thinking ivory or a sand color, too.  Neutrals usually help to tone things down.

This screams Nautical theme to me, red navy blue and ivory/ white

the guys are wearing a green color....table clothes i would think would be ivory.. do i need runners to tone things or tie things in?

You could throw a neutral in there.  I don't think more blue would be overkill.  Maybe a different shade of blue, so everyone doesn't blend in with the chairs.

Yeah, I think what you are thinking would work well; adding some champagne, cream, white would help to neutralize the color palette.

blue and green hydrangea, ivory table cloths, wedding party in another shade of green, navy background.  It all coordinates beautifully.   This is not a problem...
