First Dance Song

Maybe I am overthinking this but every song I like is about the guy singing to the girl about how much he loves her. In a lot of the songs the male singer specifically mentions the word "girl" when he sings.  In case I'm confusing I'll give an example:

Zac Brown Band's "Whatever it is"
"Cause when she loves me Girl that's how I feel Cause when she loves me I'm on top of the world Cause when she loves me I can live forever And she loves me I am untouchable"

Were any of your songs like this? I would like a more neutral song instead of one that sounds like it is dedicated to the girl, but I am having a hard time finding one. We would also like it to be a country song if possible.

im confused you want a gender neutral song? well if you a guy singing they going say girl and if you a female artist you going say guy.

I think she just means they dont mention the word guy/girl or he/she. 

I cant give you any country song recommendations but were using Gruff Rhys - If We Were Words We Would Rhyme, which doesnt use those words.

thank you that is what I meant. I just don't want it to sound like the song is dedicated to me when it is for both of us

Our first dance song didn't mention guy/girl at all either. We used "I Just Knew" by Better Than Ezra

A few country songs that don't mention any genders:

To Make You Feel My Love - Garth Brooks

It's Your Love - Time McGraw and Faith Hill

And one that mentions both genders

One Boy, One Girl - Colin Raye

We used Island in the Sun by Weezer.  I don't think it mentions gender.

Our song was love never fails by brandon heath.  Listen to it see if you like it.  People asked us after coz it made some quite emotional they said it was a good choice.

We danced to the Garth Brooks version of "To Make You Feel My Love" -- it's very gender-neutral.
