Centerpiece idea-- thoughts?

So i am on a budget, so i nixed fresh flowers. I thought about putting my own fake floral arrangements together but i decided it might be too much work to find so many flowers (i need 20 centerpeices)

I am thinking about going with navy blue table clothes, then putting these candle lanterns, and sprinkling fake rose petals on the middle of the table.

thoughts? This is an indoor reception in March.

Think about having in-season flowers, they are usually cheaper. I'm also planning to do the same but I'm thinking of putting it on a mirror and surrounding it with 3 to 4 flowers or tea light candles. Google lantern centerpieces images and you'll be able to expand on ur idea.

I LOVE lanterns. It night be cute to do different sizes of them on different tables to mix it up. Can you do candles inside?

I was actually going to do something like this until I decided to go with something else. Much better than fake flowers (silk rose petals are ok IMO), and very pretty/classy/contemporary, etc...
