Reception set up question

So, I have a venue that I love and a coordinator at the venue who is great.  I was wondering if it would be weird to set up a meeting with her up there about where tables would go for sitting and eating and where other things, like the guest book table, etc., would end up going.  Kind of like a set-up meeting. 

I guess my question is, would this be a bizarre request?  Have any of you had a meeting like this with your on-site coordinators?

    Absolutely need to do that! If you dont schedule it with her I would hope she would schedule it with you! Our venue coordinator told me we will do the final walk through whenever I want. Probably a month before.
