i followed this guide as on how much to buy.

we had lots of different kinds....some chocolate, some gummy, etc. we had all of ours either pink or green candy or in pink or green wrappers. we did ours based on our wedding colors-not everyone does.

you kind of know when you have a good variety and when you can stop.

we made sure we had a good mix of chocolate and non-chocolate. we had those gummy O rings (in green) and those were a hit.

we also did no-nuts candy. we had several guests with nut allergies. if anything has nuts i would label that.
  • Dream makers florist actually have a lady who does candy stations.. thats who I am using for my wedding. I was orginally going to buy everything myself but it really came out to the same price, without the hassel of having to buy everything myself.
  • I like the article the PP posted.  I think we had about 7 different kinds, I can't remember.  I list it all in my bio.  It doesn't have to be elaborate--if you plan to have a smaller candy buffet, then use a smaller table, so it will look fuller.  The key to a good candy buffet to remember it's a decor item as well as food so it needs to look full and pleasing to the eye.  I have PIB of mine in both my bios.

yep. we had a sign on an easel that said 'love is sweet'-i am selling the one that we have-its pink and green, its in my 'for sale' bio. and we also tied various pink and green ribbon around the jars for decoration.

it also looked better on a round table as opposed to a square
    .
  • Has anyone done a candy bar and cake?  We're doing a small 3 tier cake and a candy bar.  I'm wondering if it will all fit on the same 36" cake table, or should I get two?  Space is a little bit of a consideration.
