Signature Drink Ideas

Hey everyone!

My caterer just told me that there isn't a set list of signature drink options for our bar and we can pick thing that we want . I was looking for either a good website to get ideas from or if anyone knows a good recipe that would be great!

Thanks!

Well, what kind of drinks do you like?  If we end up adding a signature cocktail to our package, we're going to do a Vesper martini (his favorite) and/or a chocolate martini (my favorite).

The holy trinity of margarita, mojito, and martini is always a safe bet to draw from.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I am in the south and doing 2 signature drinks to be passed as people arrive- one is Sweet Tea Vodka with Lemonade in a mason jar with a lemon wedge and the other is Champagne with Rasberry on the bottom. We are just using Cristalina Brut (which is cheap but very good Cava).
  • We're changing the name, but I'm making a sign that'll be at the bar that'll explain what's in the drink. I definitely understand not wanting to order a drink if you don't know what's in it!
  • Since our wedding is tropical we are renting a mixed drink machine with strawberry daquories and margaritas.

  •  Our colors are going to be dark blue and ivory, and no theme really. I love the idea of Margaritas or Mojitos, either would be very refreshing!  If we change the name to something cutesy then a sign is definately needed. I also love the sweet tea vodka with lemonade that is yummy! I guess we need to have a tasting party! lol!

Thanks everyone for the great ideas!
  • I'm having a early November wedding and we live about a mile from the oldest cider mill in the country, therefore we are providing hot mulled cider as our cocktail.  This way everyone can have it and if they want it spiced up (rum, or tuaca would be my favs.) they can.

My advice would be to chose something that is meaingful and tasty.

  • I love the sweet tea vodka and lemonade idea!
i saw on platinum weddings where they had a sign that said:
    Something New-
    Blushing Bride
which was a champagne cocktail with a splash of something in it

    Something Borrowed-
Chocolate Martini (or something like that.) you could use one of your parent's favorite drink or an old fashion or somthing.

    Something Blue-
Blue Hawaiian (we'll probably use a blue margarita)
  • I like to use Webtender.com whenever I am looking for a new cocktail.  You can put in a list of ingredients you like and it will generate recipes.  You can also search by name and tons of other ways.  I always have luck using it.
  • We used the drink "Red Snapper" which is amaretto, crown royal, and cranberry juice and just renamed it "Wedding Bliss" for our wedding.  Everyone loved it!!

  • We are having 2, a pale green one and a pale pink one. The green on has Midori, cucumber vodka and soda water. We haven't decided on the pink one yet.
