How long is your band playing?

Just wondering what's a reasonable amount of time for a band to play. We're having a fairly short reception because it's a Sunday night and we don't want it to be too late. (We're having an afterparty somewhere else)

Is two hours too short for a band? We're having DJ music through cocktail hour and dinner, then band for two hours, then DJ music again for the last hour. Is that too short?

we had a band for 5 hours, they played jazz during cocktail and dinner hour (2 hours total) then dance music the last three.Of the 2 hours you have them, will they be taking breaks?

I didnt even ask. I would think for just two hours that they wouldn't take a break but I'm not positive. We are still deciding between two bands so I'll double check.
